Vom Innenraum eines Klosters fällt durch die weit geöffnete Holztür, unter einem Steinbogen hindurch, der Blick auf die teilbeschattete Terrasse der Anlage. Darauf zu sehen einige Mönche in braunen Kutten. Über das weite Tal hinweg fällt der Blick auf den großen rauchenden Vesuv, unter hellblauem Himmel mit großen weißen Wolken.
