Die Bildauffassung im Stil der Antike, wobei das Knäblein einen togaartigen Umhang trägt, an der rechten Schulter durch eine Rundfibel zusammengefasst. Der weit geöffnete Mund, sowie die geschlossenen Augen zeigen das Kind weinend, ein Gemütsausdruck der in der Bildhauerkunst geradezu als Herausforderung galt. Die Haarlocken fein plastisch gestaltet, die Büste zieht vom Flach- ins Hochrelief, der Kopf zu dreiviertel vollplastisch. Beige-grauer Marmor. Montiert in einem braunen Holzrahmen. (12506432) (11)
