Mahagoni, ziselierte und vergoldete Bronze, Bleu Turquin-Marmorplatte. Hohe Sockelzone mit gegenläufig zu öffnenden Türen. Diese mit hochrechteckiger Ormolu-Kartusche mit Rautenornamentfeld aus Akanthus erwachsend und mit figürlicher Genienfüllung auf Kugel stehend, wohl als Victoria zu identifizieren, einen Siegeskranz und Palmblatt tragend und wiederum als Gegenstücke konzipiert. Getrepptes Gesims mit zurückgesetzter blockhafter Marmordeckplatte.
Anmerkung:
Vergleichbare Somnos gibt es von Jacob Desmalter zum Beispiel für die Kaiserin Joséphine im Château de Fontainebleau (Inv. F 4071). Der Dekor ähnlich zu finden bei: Jean Nicolay, L'Art et la Manière des Maîtres ébeneistes francais au XVIIIe siècle, Paris 1956, S. 243, Abb. C.
