Blick über die weite beige-braune Steppe mit Gräsern und einigen grünen Sträuchern und wenigen Bäumen im Hintergrund, darunter drei prachtvolle, leuchtend rot blühende Bäume. Im Vordergrund eine braune und eine graue Antilopenherde, während im rechten Hintergrund mehrere Zebras zu erkennen sind. In der Ferne mehrere Berge unter dem gelb-grünen Himmel mit der untergehenden Sonne, der die afrikanische Hitze erahnen lässt.
Der Maler studierte ab 1919 an der Düsseldorfer Akademie. 1933 wurde er an die Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie als Professor für Monumentalmalerei berufen. (1250024) (18)
