Am Fuße einer auf einer kleinen Anhöhe gelegenen Ruine und um einen in den Himmel ragenden Obelisken herum zahlreiche Figuren versammelt, die teils fröhlich zur Musik eines kleinen Orchesters tanzen, das am linken Bildrand aufspielt. Zwei Männer zu Pferde und einige Reisende beobachten das fröhliche Treiben. Am rechten Bildrand ist zudem ein Reisender mit einem vollbepackten Muli zu sehen, die beide direkt aus dem Bild herausschauen. Im Hintergrund rechts, in der Ferne, eine ganz in Grau-Blau gehaltene bergige Landschaft, unter hohem blau-weißen Himmel. Figuren und detailreiche Darstellung in der typischen Manier der beiden zusammenarbeitenden Künstler. (12414810) (18)
