Holz, geschnitzt und vergoldet, mit elegantem geometrisch gemustertem Bezug gepolstert. Kurze geschweifte Beine in die bewegte, nach hinten mittig versetzte Zarge übergehend. Korbartiges Rahmenwerk aus geschweiften Armlehnen in die in weitem Bogen gespannte Rückenlehne übergehend. Polsterung erneuert.
Anmerkung 1:
Ein wohl etwas späteres Fauteuil von Louis Delanois wird im Metropolitan Museum New York verwahrt.
Anmerkung 2:
Der Pariser Menusier Louis Delanois war auf Sitzmöbel spezialisiert, welche er, wie hier, im Stil des späten Rokoko, oder auch im klassizistischen Stil herstellte. Zu seinen Auftraggebern zählten Madame du Barry, der Duc de Condé, der König von Polen und der Comte d‘Artois. Sein Bestellungsverzeichnis wird heute im Archives de la Seine verwahrt.

Paris, second half of the 18th century.
Notes:
An armchair by Louis Delanois, probably created slightly later is held at the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
The Parisian Menusier Louis Delanois specialised in late Rococo and Classical style seating furniture. His clients included Madame du Barry, the Duke of Condé, the King of Poland and the Count of Artois. His order book is today held at the Archives de la Seine.
