In vier vergoldeten Bronzesabots der in Schwarzlack gefasste Eichenholzkorpus, auf geschweiften Beinen stehend. Zweischübiger Korpus sans traverse mit übergreifender, lockerer, doch symmetrischer Kartusche gebildet aus vegetabilen C-Schwüngen und schlanken Rocaillen. Jeder Schub mit Rocailleschlüsselschild. Die schwarzgrundige Kartusche, gefüllt mit fantasievoller chinoiser Landschaft in Goldlack mit versetzter Architektur und teils berittener Figurenstaffage. Jeweils mit zwei Handhaben in Ormolu als geschweifte Zweige. Knie des Korpus mit vergoldeten Rocaillebronzen. Den Zügen des Möbels folgende profilierte Deckplatte in Breche d'Alep. Die Seiten mit hochrechteckigen geschweiften Kartuschen den frontseitigen Dekor wieder aufnehmend.
Anmerkung:
Louis Foureau ließ sich mit seiner Werkstatt in der Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Denis nieder, wo er über dreißig Jahre arbeitete. Er war auf Möbel mit Vernis Européen spezialisierte welcher schwarzgrundige chinesische Lacke immitierte. Seine Möbel waren im Stil Transition und Louis XV gestaltet, durchweg elegant proportioniert und mit chinoisen Landschaften dekoriert, in welche Pagoden und ostasiatische Figuren eingefügt waren.

Notes:
Louis Foureau established his workshop in der rue du Faubourg-Saint-Denis where he was active for over 30 years. He specialised in manufacturing furniture with Vernis Européen, imitating black lacquer Chinoiserie. His pieces of furniture were created in the Transition and Louis XV styles and are all elegantly proportioned and decorated with Chinoiserie landscapes with pagodas and East Asian figural staffage.
