Die drei je nach Lichteinfall schimmernden Hinterglasgemälde zeigen zum einen eine kleine Schlossanlage an einem breiten See, an dessen Ufer einige Figuren mit Handel beschäftigt sind, zum anderen ein kleines Dorf an einem Fluss mit tanzenden Bewohnern vor zwei alten Häusern sowie ein paar Hirten, die gerade eine flache Brücke mit ihren Tieren überschreiten. Das dritte Gemälde zeigt in freier Landschaft die Überreste eines antiken Gebäudes mit Spitzbögen und den Resten einiger auf den Säulen befindlichen Skulpturen, zudem eine junge Familie und den Durchblick auf einen ruhigen Flusslauf.
