Dreiviertelportrait einer jungen nach links gewandten Dame, in der einen Hand eine Rose, in der anderen Hand eine Maske tragend, den Blick zum Betrachter gerichtet. Im Hintergrund eine Säulenarchitektur mit reicher Vergoldung, welche partiell durch Vorhänge mit Goldfadenfransen hinterfangen wird.
Anmerkung:
Der direkt am Canale Grande gelegene Palazzo Dario von 1487 ist wohl einer der bekanntesten Palazzi Venedigs. Die Entstehung des Gemäldes fällt in die Zeit, als der Palazzo im Besitz der Familie Barbaro war, welche ihn Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts veräußerte. (12205621) (13)
