Holz, geschnitzt, polychrom gefasst und vergoldet. In mitgeschnitzter vergoldeter Rahmung auf stilisiertem Wolkenfond mit Cherubim die Darstellung der sitzenden Mutter Gottes, welche ihr Kind mit ihrer Hand umschließt. Auf ihrem Schoß ein rotes Kissen mit Goldquasten und darauf sitzendem Jesuskind, welches im Begriff ist, am Schleier der Mutter zu spielen. Die polychrome Fassung in der traditionellen Farbtrias Rot, Blau und Weiß. Von da Maianos Hand sind uns einige wenige Reliefs überliefert, welche Maria mit dem Kinde zeigen. Ein Stuckrelief, welches gröber gearbeitet erscheint, jedoch da Maiano zugeschrieben wird, wird in der Fototeca Zeri unter Nummer 74224 erfasst und ist in Stucco gearbeitet. Ein Tondo mit diesem Thema in Marmor befindet sich im Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin, Madison (WI) (Wisconsin, USA), Inv. Nr. 61.4.12. (1221091) (13)

Panel; carved, polychromy and gilt. In gilt frame carved in one piece together with the painting. Stylized background of clouds with cherub. A stucco relief, which seems to have been crafted more coarsely, can also be attributed to Maiano is held at the Fototeca Zeri with no. 74224. A tondo with the same subject in marble is held at the Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin, Madison (WI) (Wisconsin, USA), inv. no. 61.4.12.
