Frühes Beispiel der Pariser Kunstproduktion der Firma Suisse Frères (tätig von 1804-1975). Seltener als die Bronzegüsse der Manufaktur sind heute die früheren Arbeiten, wie die hier vorliegende Schatulle im Boulle-Einlagestil. Die Ecken gerundet, Deckel und Bodenrand tordiert, auf vier Kugelfüßen. Die Einlagen vergoldet auf schwarzem Lackgrund. Innen original, jedoch altersbedingt verschlissene Seidenfütterung.
