Die Kirchenfassade und der dahinterstehende Campanile in hellem Sonnenlicht, das Bild belebt durch Staffage elegant gekleideter Venezianer. Auf der Mole im Hintergrund mehrere Segelschiffe sowie Blick auf San Marco, links vorne etliche Gondeln.
Die Ausstellung im Ca‘ Rezzonico in Venedig hat den Maler wieder mehr ins Licht des Interesses geführt, und damit auch den Kreis der jüngeren Nachfolger Canalettos. (1211731) (11)
