Im Mittelpunkt eines vornehmen Hauses, das zur rechten Seite den Blick in die Natur freigibt, der auf einem Stuhl sitzende Jakob in weißem Gewand und seine linke Hand seinem Sohn entgegenstreckend. Josef, der einst von seinen Brüdern an Sklavenhändler verkauft worden war, in grünem kurzen Gewand und langem roten Mantel, hat seine Linke ebenfalls weit nach unten gestreckt, um seinen Vater zu begrüßen. Im Hintergrund links die Frau des Jakob und eine weitere, in weiß mit rosafarbenem Überwurf gekleidete, junge Frau. Malerische feine Darstellung in teils kräftiger Farbgebung.
