Die großformatige Darstellung gemäß dem Bibeltext (Johannes Kapitel IV, 5-43). Die Figurengruppe an einem Brunnen in einer Landschaft mit antiken Tempelruinen, Säulen sowie Pyramidendenkmälern, als zentrale Figur ist die junge Samariterin in Begleitung eines Knaben heller beleuchtet. Links Jesus am Brunnenrand sitzend, die Hände in Erzählungsgeste wiedergegeben. Rechts hinten einige Männer, die die Szenerie skeptisch beobachten. Das Gemälde in hoher Qualität steht möglicherweise in Zusammenhang mit einem Gemälde gleichen Themas von Pierre Minard, um 1691, maltechnisch vergleichbar, jedoch mit völlig anderem Bildaufbau. The large-format painting depicts a Bible scene (John, 4:5-43). The painting is of high quality and is possibly connected to a painting of the same subject by Pierre Minard, ca. 1691. The painting technique is similar, however, the composition is completely different.
This object has been individually compared to the information in the Art Loss Register data bank and is not registered there as stolen or missing.
