Knabenbüste in Marmor

Laut beiliegendem Exportdokument römischer Kopf des ersten bis zweiten Jahrhunderts.

Beigegeben ein mit Foto versehenes Dokument des Kulturministeriums, ausgestellt von Phillipa Saunier, Dokumentnummer 167800, vom 06. August 2015, Frankreich.

Kopf mit anliegendem Haar, leicht Unterlebensgröße, in fein kristallinem Marmor gearbeitet. Unbekleideter Oberkörper über volutiertem Zwischenstück und Marmorrundsockel mit einziehender Hohlkehle. Der Halsübergang zwischen Kopf und Büste gut angeglichen. Nasenspitze best., Rest. (1200671) (11)

Width: 30.8 cm.
Depth: 15.7 cm.

According to the enclosed expert’s document this is a Roman head from the first or second century. The bust is a 16th century addition.

Accompanied by a document with photograph by the ministry of education and cultural affairs, issued by Phillipa Saunier, document no. 167800, dated 6 August 2015, France.

The area between head and neck has been blended in well. Tip of the nose chipped. Restored.
