Auf einer Lichtung, welche von Fels und Bäumen hinterfangen wird, liegen von Sonnenstrahlen hell erschienen Früchte, entweder auf dem Boden, oder in durchbrochene Schalen oder Körbe gefüllt. Die Idylle, welche von den teils geöffneten Früchten wie Feigen, Birnen, Pfirsischen, Trauben und Granatäpfeln ausgeht, wird einzig getrübt durch den Gesichtsausdruck eines in Todesfurcht erstarrten Eichhörnchens, welches sich an einen Pfirsichzweig klammert.Â
