In einem Innenraum, zu der eine Tür führt, die sich hinter einem hohen hellen Vorhang verbirgt, eine vierköpfige Familie an einem quadratischen Tisch, der mit einem wertvollen Brokatstoff mit daraufliegedem weißen Tuch bedeckt ist, auf dem sich Speisen und zwei Gläser, eines noch mit Wein gefüllt, befinden. Links sitzt der Hausherr auf einem mit roten Samtstoff bespannten Stuhl in schwarzer Kleidung mit aufgeschlitzten Ärmeln und Spitzenkragen, und schaut seitlich aus dem Bild heraus; neben ihm seine Tochter am Tisch. Auf der Seite seine Ehefrau, ebenfalls in schwarzer Kleidung mit weißen Ärmeln und großem Spitzenkragen; an ihrer linken Hand hält sie den neben ihr stehenden Knaben. Ihre Augen sind auf den Ehemann gerichtet. In der Bildmitte in einem roten Kleid mit weißer Schürze eine Angestellte, die auf einem Tablett weitere Speisen hereinträgt. Interessante Darstellung mit geringer Farbpalette, bei der die Augen der Dargestellten, bis auf den kleinen Jungen, mit ernstem Blick alle auf den Hausherrn gerichtet sind.
