Bronze, gegossen, ziseliert und patiniert. Gestufte quadratische Basis mit plastisch aufliegenden Blattornamentbändern. Die Seiten alternierend mit in Lorbeerkränzen eingestellten, weiblichen Büsten sowie Capriden am Lebensbaum, im Relief. Darauf je eine Campagna-Vase in Bronze mit umlaufendem, fein ziseliertem Bacchantenfries. Schöne differenzierte Patina. (1191658) (2) (13)
A pair of fine decorative Empire vases
Height: 51.5 cm.
France, ca. 1800.
Bronze, cast, chased and patinated. Stepped square base with relief strap of leaf ornaments. The sides alternatingly show female busts in laurel wreaths and reliefs of goats at the tree of life. The bases each hold a bronze Campagna vase and have a surround of a finely chased bacchants frieze. Beautiful nuanced patina.
