Die Heiligengestalt ist jugendlich wiedergegeben, nur mit einem Lendenfell bekleidet, mit übergeschlagenen Beinen, beinahe lässig auf einem Felssockel sitzend, der Blick jedoch nachdenklich in sich gekehrt. Seine rechte Hand ist auf einen dünnen Kreuzstab gelegt, der sich unter dem Gewicht der Hand leicht biegt. Zu seinen Füßen ein nach rechts sitzendes Lämmchen. Im abgedunkelten Hintergrund Andeutungen von blühenden Gräsern und Pflanzen in einer Malweise, die bereits vieles vorweg nimmt, was erst im 19. Jahrhundert wieder angestrebt wurde. (11808520) (11)
