KLEINBRONZE IN FORM EINES WEIBLICHEN AKTTORSOS Höhe ohne Sockel: 10 cm.
Inklusive Marmorsockel: 12 cm.
Am rechten Schenkel Signatur. Modell vor 1889 mit Bezeichnung "Un petit Torse assis A".

Bronzeguss mit brauner Patina. Der Torso in sitzender Haltung mit vorgeneigtem Oberkörper. Das Modell der Figur im Werkverzeichnis erfasst, danach die früheste Sandgussausformung durch Georges Rudier 1958, ausgestellt 1962 im Louvre Nummer 135. 1992/ 93 im Musée Rodin Paris, Nummer 62. Zwischen 1958 und 1960 wurden zwölf weitere Exemplare gegossen, vom Museum beauftragt, letztlich wurde davon ein Exemplar 1963 von der Richmond Art Foundation, Vaduz, Liechtenstein erworben.

Auguste Rodin,

SMALL BRONZE TORSO OF A FEMALE NUDE

Height without base: 10 cm.
Including marble base: 12 cm.
Signed on right thigh. Model before 1889 inscribed "Un petit Torse assis A".

Bronze cast with brown patina. The torso is seated and the upper body is slightly bent forwards. The model of the figure is listed in the catalogue raisonné. Then the earliest sand casting by Georges Rudier 1958, exhibited in 1962 at Louvre no. 135. 1992/93 at Musée Rodin Paris, no. 62. Between 1958 and 1960 twelve further examples were cast commissioned by the museum Museum and one of them was purchased by the Richmond Art Foundation, Vaduz, Liechtenstein in 1963.
