Als Haargesteck gearbeitete Krone, gebildet aus polierten roten Korallen. Zur Mitte hin höher ziehend, am Unterrand in Art eines Blattkranzes gefertigt. Die einzelnen Korallenteile an vergoldetem Ring mit Befestigungsösen. Herstellung wohl Phillips. Vergleichbare Objekte im Victoria and Albert Museum.
Anmerkung:
Obwohl das vorliegende Stück keine Signatur erkennen lässt, steht es doch in engster Beziehung zu Werken der Phillips-Brothers, bei denen Robert Phillips der führende Lieferant für Korallenobjekte in London war. 1870 bereits konnte die Firma sich betiteln mit "The most complete collection of fine coral work in the world". Ein vergleichbares Stück befindet sich in "The William and Judith Bollinger Gallery" mit der Museumsnummer M.10:1,2-2003. (11710436) (11)
