Halbportrait eines jungen Mannes mit blauer Kopfbedeckung, dessen Gesicht indirekt von oben durch einen Lichtstrahl beleuchtet wird. Sein Blick ist nach unten gerichtet und sein Mund weit geöffnet in Vorfreude auf das gebratene Geflügel, das er in seiner linken Hand auf einer glänzenden Platte mit Zitonenhälfte hält. Seine Rechte hat er erhoben und presst damit die andere Hälfte der Zitrone auf den leckeren Braten aus. Stimmungssvolles Gemälde in teils breiterem Pinselduktus in harmonischer Farbgebung.
