Holz, geschnitzt, mit verschiedenen Edelhölzern furniert und reich ziselierten Bronzebeschlägen. Zentrale Schublade. Platte mit wohl noch original Lederbezug. Ein Schlüssel vorhanden. Schöner original Zustand mit kleineren Furnierverlusten, speziell auch an der zentralen Schublade und den Beinen.
Anmerkung:
Paul Sormani (1817 – um 1877), der Pariser Ebenist lombardisch-venezianischer Herkunft, verlagerte 1867 sein Geschäft in die Rue Charlot in Paris. Wichtigste Kundin war sicherlich die Kaiserin Eugénie, Frau von Napoleon III, welche ihre Paläste mit den Kreationen Paul Sormanis ausstattete. (11505714) (2) (13)
