Sehr fein gearbeitetes Paar von Fo-Hunden unterschiedlicher Darstellung. Ursprünglich vollvergoldet, sind noch große Reste von Vergoldung erhalten. Eingesetzte Glasaugen. Beide Hunde auf rechteckigem Sockel montiert.
Anmerkung:
Fo-Hunde oder Wächterlöwen flankieren in Asien oft Eingangstüren sowie Brücken und Räume. Ein bekanntes Beispiel hierfür ist die Marco Polo-Brücke in der Nähe von Peking. Auf ihr stehen ca. 500 Löwen in unterschiedlichen Größen und Positionen. (11508612) (17)
