Zunächst studierte Dorazio Architektur, bevor er nach Paris ging und dort seine Ausbildung an der École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts fortsetzte. In seinen abstrakten Werken verwendet er die reinen Grundfarben, die er miteinander verwebt. Beeinflusst wurden seine Arbeiten durch Raffael (1483-1520) und Piero Pollaiuolo (1433-1496), ebenso wie durch die Futuristen Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944), Kasimir Malevich (1878-1935) oder Piet Mondrian (1872-1944).
