Die auf einer Tischplatte locker zusammengestellten Gegenstände - wie bei dem genannten Maler üblich - in starker Draufsicht wiedergegeben. Im Zentrum eine Chinoiserie-Schale, blau bemalt, gefüllt mit Äpfeln, davor zwei Teller mit Trauben bzw. einer aufgeschnittenen Birne. Ebenfalls Merkmale der Bildkomposition von Beert sind die locker verstreuten kleinen Gegenstände zwischen den Tellern und Schalen, wie hier einige Nüsse oder - besonders originell - ein getrocknetes Apfelschalenstück am Tischrand. Wie immer ist der Hintergrund in Schwarz wiedergegeben, wobei die Leuchtkraft der Gegenstände betont wird. (11514323) (11)
