Bei dem Dargestellten handelt es sich wohl um Georg Friedrich I (1539-1603) aus der Linie Brandenburg-Ansbach-Kulmbach. Er war von 1543 bis 1603 Markgraf des Fürstentums Brandenburg-Ansbach und Herzog von Jägerndorf. Ähnlichkeit in der Darstellung des Fürsten besteht in Bezug auf ein Gemälde von Lucas Cranach d. J. (1515-1586), das sich im Jagdschloss Grunewald befindet. Hier ist der Dargestellte in weitem Mantel mit Pluderärmeln, Goldketten und einem Barett wiedergegeben, die Barttracht entspricht den anderen Portraits. (1151276) (11)
