Französischer Maler des Pointilismus, stammt aus dem Kreis von Antoine Bourdelle (1861-1929) sowie Henri Martin (1835-1908). In Paris war er Schüler von Alexandre Cabanelle (1823-1889) sowie von Jean-Paul Laurents (1838-1921). Mit Aristide Maillol (1861-1944) teilte er sich ein Atelier in der Rue de Sèvres. Er nahm an der ersten Ausstellung der Société des Artistes Indépendants von 1894 mit Erfolg teil. (1141412) (11)

Sunshine is falling onto the buildings on the left side of this narrow lane that disappears into the background. Plants and flowers are hanging down from a balcony in right foreground. This pointillism painting, in elongated portrait format, is of high quality.
