Das feine, kleine Gemälde mit pastosem Farbauftrag zeigt eine bildhohe Baumgruppe im rechten Vordergrund. Links zieht sich eine Senke oder ein Flusstal durch den Mittelgrund, hinter der die Prager Burg mit umstehenden Gebäuden den Bergrücken hinan erhebt. Wie Dr. Ertz in seinem Gutachten ausführt, ist das Gemälde 1604 während des Prag-Aufenthalts des bedeutenden Künstlers entstanden. Mit derartigen, kleinen Gemälden stellte der Künstler stets seine hohe Meisterschaft unter Beweis (1141044)
