Im Vordergrund nahezu stilllebenhaft am Tisch ausgebreitete Schalen und Körbe, gefüllt mit Äpfeln, Pflaumen, Trauben, Birnen und anderen Früchten. Links daneben Kohlköpfe und Rüben. Die Verkäuferin in dunklem Gewand mit weißem kurzem Kragen und einer in dieser Zeit modischen Kopfbedeckung sitzt rechts und nimmt Blickkontakt mit der jungen Magd in rotem Kleid mit weißer Schürze auf, die einen Korb in der linken Hand hält. Links im Hintergrund die Wand eines Giebelhauses.
