Beigegeben Altersgutachten von Prof. Pierre M. Blanc sowie Odoardo H. Giglioli (ehemals Direktor der R. Galerie in Florenz), jeweils ohne Datierung.
Das Gemälde großformatig, der Corpus Christi hell beleuchtet an schwerem Balkenkreuz vor dunklem Wolkenhintergrund, der in der linken oberen Bildzone hell erleuchtet wird, durch die wie in einer Sonnenfinsternis überdeckte Sonnenscheibe. Der Gemäldetypus geht - in Abwandlungen - auf gleiche thematische Werke des van Dyck zurück. Dem Gemälde sind frühere Gutachten, wohl aus den 1930er-Jahren beigegeben, damals noch als Werke van Dycks gesehen, zumindest mit dessen Namen in engeren Zusammenhang gebracht mit entsprechenden Bildbeispielen.
