Das großformatige Gipsmodell aus dem Jahre 1565 ist im Palazzo Vecchio in Florenz ausgestellt, die danach gefertigte Marmorskulptur im Bargello Museum. Die verkleinerte Ausführung in Bronze mit dunkler, nahezu schwarzer Patina auf mitgegossener quadratischer Sockelplinthe. In feiner Gussausführung und -nachbearbeitung. Die Allegorie zeigt Florenz in Gestalt einer nackten Frau, die das Knie über einen gefesselten bärtigen Mann gestellt hat, die hier lose angearbeitete Kette in der linken Hand. In manieristischer Weise ist hier der Typus der Figura Serpentinata zum tragen gekommen. (1121438) (11)
