Im Inneren des Hauses eines Wundarztes werden soeben zwei Patienten behandelt. Im Vordergrund links ein sitzender junger Mann, der seinen Fuß auf einen Schemel stellt und vom Wundarzt behandelt wird. Rechts hinten eine weitere Baderszene, bei der ein Aderlass vorgenommen wird, die Blutschüssel rechts am Tisch, die jeweiligen Szenen von weiteren Personen umgeben. Im Vordergrund Kannen, Töpfe sowie medizinische Flaschen und Geräte. Am linken Bildrand ein Globus, darunter ein Schädel auf einem Bierfass. Das Gemälde fügt sich in eine Reihe weiterer Werke ein, in denen Ryckaert die Arztthematik aufgegriffen hat. (1121222) (11)
