Lindenholz, von ehemaliger Fassung befreit. Die Engelsfigur in schwebender Haltung mit angezogenem rechtem Bein, das Kleid halb über den Oberkörper ziehend, an der Taille gebunden und bis zum linken Knöchel herabgezogen. Der rechte Arm betont nach oben gerichtet mit leicht gespreizten Fingern, der Linke angewinkelt, wobei ebenfalls ein Zeigefinger auf ein im Raumzentrum zu denkendes Altarbild gerichtet ist. Der Mund leicht geöffnet, die Augenlider schräg angesetzt. Das Haupt umgeben von stark gewellten zum Teil unterschnittenen Locken. (11106417) (11)

LARGE CARVED ANGEL SCULPTURE

Height: 110 cm.

The angel is floating with its right leg tucked up, wearing an ankle-length dress tied around the waist, covering half of its upper body. The right arm is lifted up with the fingers slightly spread out, the left is bent with the index finger pointing at the centre of the room where to the place of a former altar painting. The angel’s mouth is slightly open with slanted eyelids. The head is surrounded by curly hair, carved three-dimensionally. Limewood, former polychromy removed.
