Fortunato Depero,
1892 Fondo/Trient – 1960 Rovereto
Der italienische Futurist erhielt seine künstlerische Ausbildung in Rovereto, bevor er 1913 nach Rom zog. Dort wurde er mit den Futuristen Giacomo Balla (1871-1958) und Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916) bekannt, in deren Kreis er 1915 aufgenommen wurde. 1919 eröffnete er in Rovereto ein futuristisches Kunsthaus und 1959 das erste futuristische Museum, die Galleria Museo Depero.FIGURA, UM 1925 Öl auf Leinwand.

Fortunato Depero,

The Italian futurist artist studied in Rovereto before relocating to Rome in 1913 where he made the acquaintance of the futurist artists Giacomo Balla (1871-1958) and Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916) and he was admitted to their circle in 1915. In 1919 he opened the “House of Futurist Art” in Rovereto and in 1959 he opened “Galleria Museo Depero”, the first futurist museum.
