Rechts unten signiert, links unten ortesbezeichnet. Verso bezeichnet „La Ca' d'Oro sul gran canale / a Venezia“.

The painting offered in this lot is most likely the painting of the Ca' d'Oro that was exhibited at the Esposizione Nazionale in Venice in 1887. The painting is an important art historical document showing the façade of the Ca' d'Oro after its restoration by the architect Giovanni Battista Meduna in 1885.
