Das Duell, das während der Schlacht am 05.02.1600 im Winter stattfand, hier breitformatig geschildert. Im Vordergrund aufeinandertreffende Reitergruppen, im Mittelgrund Darstellung des in der Geschichte bekannten Duells, rechts auf einem schneeigen Hügel zwei Fanfarenreiter. Im Horizont Stadtansicht sowie eine erhöht stehende Windmühle. Das Ereignis ist in der Geschichte eingegangen unter dem Begriff der Schlacht von Lekkerbeetje, mehrfach in Gemälden dargestellt.
