Aufbau in Eiche, furniert in rot hinterlegtem Schildpatt und Einlagen in Ormolu und Messing. Schwarzer Lack. Das Möbel auf insgesamt acht Beinen, die mit X-förmig gestellten Streben verbunden sind. In der Front seitlich flankierend jeweils drei Schübe. Mittig ein Schub auf Fronthöhe, der andere vor den Knien zurückspringend. Das Furnier in „première partie” mit Ranken und Blattwerk sowie Vögel und Fabelwesen in symmetrischer Anordnung auf den Schüben und Seitenflächen. Die rechteckige Tischplatte mit einer großen, zentralen Kartusche um eine Rosette. Die Randeinfassung in der Art eines Rahmens auf dem Äffchen und Vögel sitzen. Schlüssel vorhanden. Rest. und leichte Alterssp.

In den 1960er Jahren erworben und vererbt.

Anmerkung:
Das bekrönte Monogramm „SL” steht traditionsgemäß für die Prinzen della Torre e Tasse, einem italienischen Zweig der Familie Thurn & Taxis.

Stamped with crowned "SL" monogram on the side facing the wall.
Paris, late 17th/ early 18th century.

Oak structure, veneered with tortoiseshell with red underlay and inlays in ormolu and brass. Black lacquer. With key. Restored and minor signs of ageing.

Princess della Torre e Tasso.
Acquired in the 1960s and bequeathed.

The crowned “SL” monogram traditionally represents the Princes della Torre e Tasse, an Italian branch of the German Princely House of Thurn and Taxis.
