Sitzende Schicksalsgöttin „Tyche“

Ausgeführt in Bronze und Elfenbein. Sockel in weißem Marmor mit vergoldeten Bronzeprofilen. Die griechische Figur der Schicksalsgöttin auf einem kantigen Sockel sitzend, Füße auf einem Schemel. Im Haar Frucht- und Eichelkranz, in der linken Hand Lorbeerblattbündel. Die Bildhauerarbeit des 19. Jahrhunderts nach Anregungen von Werken der griechisch-römischen Bildhauerkunst. Die Gewandfigur mit Sockel in Bronze, Kopf, Arme und Füße in Elfenbein geschnitzt. Das Kleid grün, die Sockel braun patiniert. Die Elfenbeinschnitzerei mit schöner Alterspanina. Besch. Beginning to mid-19th century.

In bronze and ivory. White marble base with gilt-bronze moulding. The Greek goddess of fate is siting on an angular base with her feet on a footstool. This 19th century figure is inspired by Greek and Roman sculpture. The figure's garments and base are cast in bronze; head, arms and feet are carved in ivory. The garment is patinated in green and the base in brown. Ivory carving with beautiful aged patina. Damaged.
