Andries van Eertvelt,
1590 Antwerpern – 1652, zug.
Flämischer Marinemaler, war verehelicht mit Katharina de Vlieger, einer Verwandten des gleichnamigen Malers. Van Eertvelt ging dem Tod seiner Frau 1627 nach Italien zu Cornelis de Wael (1592-1667) in Genua, der ihm Aufträge verschaffte. Bekannt wurde er für seine Sturmbilder, die sich heute in verschiedenen Sammlungen befinden.SCHIFFE AUF STÜRMISCHER SEE Öl auf Eichenholz.
