In magnificent gilt frame.

Lady depicted bust-length, her body turned to the right and the head turned to the left with an attentive, interested facial expression. Her ruff collar and dark ringlets are painted in loose brushstrokes. The face is excellently characterized and its quality corresponds with that of Lawrence.
