Ein Motiv, das alle drei genannten Maler aufgegriffen haben. Auf vorliegendem Gemälde der Turm mittig gezeigt, über breiten Rampenbauten sich kegelförmig nach oben verjüngend, links im Bild ein Baum als Repoussoir. Die einzelnen Bildbereiche überaus reich mit Staffagefiguren besetzt. Im Vordergrund geharnischte Figurengruppe mit turbantragendem Auftraggeber des Baus, ihm gegenüber der Baumeister. THE TOWER OF BABEL

This is a motif that all three mentioned painters approached. The centre of the painting is dominated by The Tower of Babel, tapering towards the top of the painting over conical ramp buildings with a tree acting as a repoussoir on the left. The individual areas of the painting are filled with plenty of staffage figures. An armour-clad figural group with the client wearing a turban and the architect facing him in the foreground.
