Silber, getrieben, graviert. Kanne und Becken jeweils mit graviertem Allianzwappen der Frankfurter Patrizierfamilien Steffan von Cronstetten und von Hynsperg sowie Datierung „1767“. Becken mit Gravur: „Justina Catharina Steffan von Cronstett“.

Anmerkung:
Justina Catharina Steffan von Cronstetten (1677 - 1766) entstammte einer alten Frankfurter Patrizierfamilie. Die von ihr ins Leben gerufene Stiftung besteht bis heute (Cronstetten Stiftung), eine der größten Stiftungen Frankfurts, die in verschiedenen sozialen Bereichen agiert.

Both hallmarked with Augsburg city mark from 1767 (Seling 2290) and maker's mark for Johann Conrad Lotter (Seling 2302foll.).

Silver; wrought and engraved. Pitcher and basin both engraved with alliance coat of arms of the Frankfurt patrician family Steffan von Cronstetten and von Hynsperg and dated 1767. Basin engraved: “Justina Catharina Steffan von Cronstett”.

Notes:
Justina Catharina Steffan von Cronstetten (1677 - 1766) was from an old Frankfurt patrician family. She founded the charitable Cronstetten trust that still exists today and is one of the largest charities in Frankfurt supporting various social causes.
