Maria frontal zum Betrachter auf einem Steinsockel sitzend, über den Knien der Leichnam Jesu mit senkrecht herabziehendem rechtem Arm, der Kopf von der Hand Mariens gestützt. Markanter, teilweise kantiger, expressiver Schnitzstil. Das Gesicht der Maria im Gegensatz dazu lieblicher ausgearbeitet, verschattet durch das weit vorziehende Manteltuch. An der Rückseite gehöhlt. Die originale Fassung weitgehend erhalten, jedoch altersbedingt berieben und zum Teil eingestimmt. (10308462) (126522) (11)
