Salvatore Fiume,

Fiume erhielt eine grafische Ausbildung in Urbino. Ab 1946 wandte er sich verstärkt der Malerei zu. Er ist mit seinen Arbeiten in den bedeutendsten internationalen Museen wie der Eremitage in St. Petersburg, den Vatikanischen Museen in Rom, dem MoMA in New York oder der Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Mailand vertreten. Vor intensiv blauem, nächtlichem Grund ist ein Reiter auf einem mit einer Decke behangenen Ross dargestellt. Er hält eine im Wind wehende Fahne mit krähendem Hahn. Auf Höhe des Kopfes des Reiters, gerade über dem Kopf des Pferdes, steht prächtig eine schon recht volle Mondsichel vor dem blauen Fond, den ockerfarbene wolkenartige Gebilde durchziehen.
