Dem Gemälde ist eine Expertise von Dr. Jean-Pierre de Bryn, Gent 2014, beigegeben. Mit Zuschreibung an den genannten Künstler und dem Vermerk, dass es sich um ein frühes Werk des Malers handelt.
Brustbild nach links. Der Kopf nach rechts gewandt mit Blick nach oben, über die Wangen rollen Tränen herab, der Mund leicht geöffnet. Braune Locken liegen über dem blauen Kleid mit geöffneter Bluse. Konturen in betontem Sfumato gearbeitet. Das Halbbildnis vor dunklem Hintergrund.
