Rest. (1030811)

FOREST WITH MULTI-FIGURED HUNTING SCENE
Oil on panel. Parqueted.
43 x 53 cm.
The coloration and contouring is a little harder than usual for Paul Bril, however the execution is very precise and accurate. The figures, such as those bringing home the kill or loading a donkey in the foreground or the brightly illuminated riding huntsmen in the background, are reminiscent of works by Sebastian Vrancx. The painting gives an overall attractive impression. Rest.
