Bildschnitzer des 15. Jahrhunderts
GROSSE HOCHRELIEFSCHNITZGRUPPE TOD MARIENS Höhe der Schnitzgruppe: 33 cm.
Gesamthöhe inkl. Sockelunterbau: 40 cm.
Länge: 64 cm.
Gesamtlänge des Sockels: 70 cm.
Um 1460.
Maria auf einem Krankenbett liegend, umgeben von den zwölf Aposteln, der jüngere Apostel Johannes am Fußende des Bettes kniend mit geöffnetem Buch, rechts daneben sowie am linken Darstellungsrand und etwas erhöht oberhalb der Johannesfigur die drei weiteren Evangelisten Markus, Lukas und Matthäus, der Heilige Petrus nächst der Maria, der ihr eine brennende Kerze in die Hände reicht.
Markanter, qualitätvoller Schnitzstil im Hochrelief, das in die Vollplastik überzieht. Der untere Sockelrand vorne mit sogenannter Wasserschlagleiste. Die Figurengruppe ehemals gefasst, von Fassung befreit, in einigen wenigen Partien sind die Färbung und sie Fassung noch erhalten. (10308476) (11)
