Spielschatulle in der Art der Embriachi-Werkstatt

Aufbau in Holz, marketiert in Bein, grün gefärbtem Bein und Büffelhorn (?). Einlagen in Perlmutt, Zinn und anderen Hölzern. Auf mit Rillen dekorierten gequetschten Kugelfüßen ein rechteckiger Korpus mit vorkragendem Deckel und Sockelgeschoss. Die Marketerie in Form von Schachbrettmustern sowie in geometrischem Dekor. Das feine Kästchen umlaufend verziert. In der Deckelinnenseite originale Spiegel eingelassen. Das Kästchen ausgekleidet mit Habichtbemaltem Papier.

Games box in the style of the Embriachi-workshop

Width: 21.2 cm.
Depth: 13.7 cm.
Venice, 15th century.

Wood structure, with bone, stained green bone and buffalo horn (?) marquetry and mother-of-pearl, pewter and other wood inlay. The inside of the cover set with original mirror glass and lined with paper with hawk-decorations. Restored. Lock lost. Signs of ageing.
