Schnitzfigur eines Klosterheiligen

Darstellung eines Heiligen (wohl Dominikus) im Ordensgewand, das Haupt mit Tonsur. Dazugehörig der Rocaillesockel mit einem über dem C-Bogen sitzenden Putto und frontal hochziehenden Akanthusblättern. Die originale Fassung weitgehend erhalten, jedoch altersbedingt partiell abgeblättert. Der in Holz geschnitzte, rote Kardinalshut gleichzeitig entstanden, jedoch nicht zugehörig. Dazu zwei stilstisch passende, jedoch nicht zugehörige geschnitzte, gefasste und vergoldete Rocaillewangenornamente. (1000725) (11)

Original polychrome decoration mostly intact but with partial flaking due to its age. The carved red cardinal hat originates around the same time, but is not corresponding. Two carved, parcel-gilt and polychrome rocaille ornaments are also not corresponding, but match stylistically.
